Salary: £61,827 - £65,076 per annum pro rata
Hours: 37 hours per week
Interview Date: 7th June 2019
More about the role:
Here in Children’s Services, we’re determined to help all children fulfil their potential. We’re pleased to say that the Council has recently been awarded a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating for its Children’s Social Care Services. While we’re proud of this achievement, there’s still more to be done as we seek to deliver great education, with a particular focus on diminishing the difference for our more vulnerable learners. As School Improvement Adviser, you will work collaboratively across all our schools in Central Bedfordshire to ensure all our children reach their potential.
In this key role, you’ll support the work of the School Improvement Service. You’ll work closely with schools and their leaders, implementing relevant strategies and best practice.
To join us, you’ll need a background gained in a school or local authority setting. It is important that your experience includes time spent as a headteacher – and that you have a proven record of leading school improvement. You can therefore inspire others, promote continuous learning and build strong, productive relationships. Knowledge of safeguarding legislation regarding young people will also be essential.
Join us, and you’ll enjoy attractive benefits plus the chance to learn and progress. We offer training, health and welfare support, childcare vouchers and more. Even better, you’ll find your greatness as you help children to achieve and progress.
Central Bedfordshire Council has its own vision and values that are integral to everything we do. Our area vision is to make Central Bedfordshire 'A great place to live and work'.
