£18,676 - £19,406 inclusive of outer fringe allowance

A geographic information system (GIS) is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present spatial or geographic data. GIS applications are tools that allow users to create interactive queries (user-created searches), analyze spatial information, edit data in maps, and present the results of all these operations.
We are looking for an Apprentice to join the GIS service to support the corporate GIS Manager with a variety of projects. You will work with a range of teams including Planning, Land Charges, Estates, Housing and Grounds Maintenance to solve problems using specialized GIS applications quickly and efficiently.
It is essential you have an interest in IT and have an eye for detail. You will need excellent communication skills, to be a creative thinker with a willingness to learn from those you work alongside. You will also need to be able to manage conflicting priorities.
