Inclusive Salary range £28,514 up to £31,980 per year + car allowance
Plus up to 18.5% employer pension contribution

In this post you will support the Arboricultural Officer in the delivery of a wide range of trees and woodlands services by seeking to safeguard the District’s natural heritage and promote environmental quality within the district.
You will be providing professional advice and guidance to service users and colleagues. This will include tree inspections and surveys, consultation advice for the determination of planning applications, appeal and planning enforcement and prosecutions issues as a specialist witness. You will also issue works to contractors, monitor, supervise their performance and enforce health and safety regulations in relation to these works.
Educated to Degree/HND or Foundation degree qualification in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry or Community Forestry Management you will ideally have a Landscape Architecture/Management, Dip Arb (RFS) or be working towards a Professional Diploma in Arboriculture. Knowledge of Tree Preservation Orders, Conservation Area Notifications together with knowledge of tree management issues is essential for this post.
