About the role

This is a continuously evolving position, initially being appointed as Assistant BID Manager. The medium term aim, with planning and support from the current BID Director, is to develop the successful candidate’s existing skills to fulfil the position of BID Director in approximately 12 months time – allowing the BID Director to retire having spent 10 plus years at Hinckley BID.

Being the Assistant BID Manager is all about making sure that day to day tasks are carried out smoothly. You should have a good standard of english and maths, strong organisational skills and a high degree of attention to detail.

You are required to be committed, flexible and able to provide efficient and professional support to the BID Director. Your workload will be varied and fast paced, therefore it’s essential for you to be able to multi task and prioritise.

Occasionally you will need to be flexible to do more hours at busy times; work early mornings or late evenings and at weekends (approximately four to six times a year) to help set up and facilitate our major Town Centre events.

Hinckley BID itself comprises most of Hinckley Town centre which includes nearly 400 Businesses across all market sectors. The BID is administered by the Board of The Hinckley Town Centre Partnership. Our modern offices are located in the first floor at 76 Castle Street, Hinckley ans there is free car parking at the rear.

Hinckley BID seeks to encourage the local community to be proud of their town centre, to support their local businesses and to take part in family focused town centre events.

Day to day partnership working with our Borough Council and County Council are an important part of our remit, but primarily our role is to increase town centre footfall through showcasing its many assets, and whenever possible to seek out solutions on behalf of individual businesses when they (encounter) issues.
