Following a re-structuring of Mental Health services we now have two vacancies for the post of Senior Practitioner  with the Hastings Adult Mental Health and Substance Misuse Service.

We work with clients aged 18+ who have eligible Social Care Needs and/or a Severe and Enduring Mental Health or Substance misuse Problem. We assess clients for Care Act eligibility,  promote Self Directed Support and Safeguard Vulnerable Adults.

We are co-located with and work very closely with our Health Colleagues from Sussex Partnership Trust and Third Sector partners providing substance misuse services. The team is based in Hastings Town Centre.

Your responsibilities will include the Supervision of Social Care staff, screening and allocation of referrals and taking part in duty and AMPH rotas.  You will also be expected to act as Enquiry Manager for Adult Safeguarding Enquiries.

You will need to have experience of Supervising staff and substantial experience of working with clients who present with Mental Health or Substance misuse issues. Ideally you will also be qualified  as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP). However,  experienced candidates with substantial Senior practitioner or Social Work experience in the area of mental health/ substance misuse, may be considered on the understanding that AMPH training is undertaken if successfully recruited to the post.
