This is a high pressure role in an LA front line service. We are seeking a person who is able to multi-task, deliver effective outcomes in relation to the role, and manage a large caseload independently.
Acting as a contact for parents to offer technical advice and support with regard to the assessment process.
Writing Education, Health and Care Plans based on evidence from professional and other reports in clear, concise and accessible language.
To operate and co-ordinate the education, health and care assessment procedures and processes for all those with EHC Plans, based on a defined caseload, to enable appropriate educational provision to be made for children and young people with special educational needs within statutory timescales
To attend meetings where necessary and ensure the LA role is carried out effectively, to schedule and minute parental meetings and represent the LA at relevant planning meetings, including multi-agency meetings where the needs of an individual pupil are the subject of the meeting. These meetings may be in schools or other community settings.
