Are you an experienced Children's Services Manager who is ready to join a high-performing and innovative Children’s Services Department?
Our Children's Safeguarding Unit is looking for Independent Reviewing Officer/Child Protection Advisors to chair Child Protection Conferences and statutory review meetings for Looked After Children. The role provides a high level of quality assurance in respect of the formulation and implementation of outcome focussed children’s plans. A commitment to promoting the participation of children, young people and their families in all aspects of the assessment, reviewing and planning process underpins our approach.
Thanks to our talented workforce and experienced managers, we have created a strong, effective service and are rated as one of the top performing authorities in the South.
We know we are making a difference because that’s what children and young people tell us and we were judged 'Outstanding' from Ofsted and in our July 2018 inspection. Our innovation has led to two awards from the Local Government Association Chronicle Awards for services to children and business transformation. We won the Silver Award for Best Social Work Employer at the Social Worker of the year Awards 2017. We have created a centre of excellence alongside our local Universities resulting in our being awarded by the Government “Teaching Partnership” status.
