Are you an enthusiastic, proactive and target driven individual with employer engagement experience? Are you able to rise to the challenge and work with multiple employment support organisations on behalf of Islington Council to help create pathways into employment for Islington residents? Do you have experience and knowledge of the health and social care sector?
Islington Council are recruiting for a Health and Social Care Employment Coach to undertake outreach in the local community and partner settings to generate a greater interest in and understanding of the health and social care sector - and to inspire local residents with the right values to consider entering the sector.
Part of the role will involve providing pre-screening, job matching, outcomes recording and feedback for all submissions to vacancies and training opportunities in Health and Social Care, using the iWork services online database system.
The role will require the delivery of good quality assessments of the skills and abilities of residents to match the jobs brokered, including identifying cases where advocacy would be appropriate, and use a personalised and holistic one-to-one mentoring and coaching approach to increase the success rate of clients matched to jobs.
Islington is one of the easiest boroughs to travel to and around, making it easier for you to work for us. Islington Council also provides a range of flexible working arrangements.
