We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Assistant Head Teacher to join our strong and supportive Senior Leadership Team. Our leadership team is growing to add two Assistant Head roles and a Deputy Head so we can strengthen the strategic and operational direction of our school as we grow in numbers.
Whitehall Park school is a fairly new school which opened with just two Reception classes in September 2014. Each year, two more classes join our expanding Whitehall Park family. We now have Reception to Year 4 groups. Our vision is to become an outstanding school. We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher who will work closely with the Senior leadership team, who will be a leader of learning who has the highest expectations of every child, themselves and of all members of the school community. The right candidate will provide a structured and thorough education experience which enables pupils to achieve their academic and personal potential and to develop skills appropriate to the world of work and life. He/she will encourage pupils to participate in an extensive board curriculum and enriching activities to develop an understanding of our responsibilities and our duty to serve the local and wide communities.
We are looking for:
Someone with effective teaching and learning strategies within the realms of the National Curriculum
Someone with knowledge and understanding of assessment, particularly Assessment for Learning
The ability to plan and work collaboratively with colleagues
An outstanding knowledge of classroom organisation and management as well as appropriate provision of resources
The ability to assess and report upon the development, progress and attainment of pupils
Someone demonstrating a commitment to continuing professional development and improvement.
