The council is seeking to recruit a Benefit Assistant to its Revenues and Benefits service.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide face to face advice and support to our customers from one of our Service Hubs at Maidenhead or Windsor libraries.
The role will be to support the customers through the process of claiming a range of benefits administered by the local authority such as Housing Benefits, Council Tax Support, Discretionary Housing Payments. Customers may be making a new claim, reporting a change in circumstances or simply enquiring about entitlement. The post holder will also be expected to undertake a range of assessments, associated with these benefits, balancing the need to provide a prompt service to the customer with this part of the role.
