Lancaster City Council are pleased to offer a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated individual to join our Development Management Team.
This role involves the initial processing of both Planning and Building Regulations applications, operating the Council’s electronic document management and back office computer systems, and advising members of the public on Planning and Building Control matters and other general administrative duties as required. Whilst some knowledge of Planning and/or Building Control would be desirable, full training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good organisational skills, have a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn about all aspects of the Planning and Building Regulations system.
Candidates may be working towards completing a Level 3 qualification in Business Admin or a similar discipline, or possess similar equivalent qualifications.

The hours of work are 29.6 hours per week, working Tuesday to Friday, and will be based at Morecambe Town Hall.
