We are a forward thinking and expanding SEN Team who are excited to offer the opportunity for 2 SEN Review Officers to join us in providing a quality service to help children, young people, and their families achieve their aspirations.

 

The post of SEN Review Officer is central for the Local Authority to meet its statutory duties regarding the annual reviews of EHC plans and transitions between key phases of education.

 

With the support of the SEN Managers and EHCP Coordinators, the successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing the EHC plan review process, ensuring plans are person-centred, and continue to accurately reflect the existing special educational needs of the CYP, with suitable provision to support them achieving their specified outcomes.

 

The work is varied and challenging, and it can often be demanding, as you would be working to statutory timescales, and liaising with a range of agencies, professionals, parents/carers and young people.

 

A high degree of organisational and self-management skills, as well as a positive attitude are essential, as is a sense of humour.
