Job Introduction

The Governors wish to appoint a highly motivated, committed, enthusiastic and talented professional with the ability to make a further difference to our children and our community.

Cottesmore St. Mary is a high-achieving, vibrant and creative two form entry school that has recently received a very positive Oftsed report. We are an aspirational school that is focused on whole school development in order to provide an outstanding education for all. We are a school that is passionate about staff and individual development and all staff receive personalised high quality CPD. Coaching, mentoring and shadowing opportunities are available for all so that teaching and leadership is continuously improved. If you are someone who enjoys the challenges of working in a school which aims to be the best it can, then please apply. NQTs are very welcome to apply.

The successful candidate will play an important role by supporting the Catholic ethos (even if not Catholic), contributing to a forward thinking team who strive to provide outstanding teaching and learning for all children at all times, demonstrating excellent professional practice and always placing children at the centre. They will contribute to the School Development Plan and be committed to raising standards whilst bringing a range of skills and interests that impact on the school community. Successful candidates will have high expectations and the ability to plan an inspiring, innovative curriculum that ensures all children make good or better progress. They will also lead an area so that it impacts positively on all children (unless an NQT) and work well with others and as part of a team.

The application pack is obtainable from the school website www.cottesmore.brighton-hove.sch.uk or upon request from the school.  We encourage interested applicants to visit the school prior to application. Tours will take place on Monday 29th Aril at 9.30am plus Wednesday 1st May at 1.30pm and 3.30pm. Please contact Sara Wheddon on 01273 555811 or email rachelbreen@cottesmore.brighton-hove.sch.uk  for all information.
