Project Manager – Simplified Planning (Fixed Term)
£45,000 per annum
Full Time and Fixed Term for up to 3 years
The Exeter and East Devon Enterprise Zone (EZ) launched in April 2017. It is one of the largest and most diverse EZs in the country, covering four sites ranging from a Science Park to the town centre of a new town. Together these sites are expected to deliver over 2 million sq.ft of new commercial space and help to create around 10,000 jobs.
Working with our local partners we are striving to realise the potential of the area, bringing forward the EZ designation. Already £8 million is being unlocked to drive delivery and enable catalysts which will create a hotbed of development. Investments in new road infrastructure, a bus service and direct investment in new employment space are underway.
Simplified Planning is pivotal to the offer of an Enterprise Zone. We are focused on delivering simplified planning through Local Development Orders, which will incentivise businesses to relocate and grow within the Enterprise Zone.
We are looking for a highly motivated professional who is up for the challenge of leading simplified planning within the Exeter and East Devon Enterprise Zone.
You will manage the Local Development Order process from the start to finish. Working with key stakeholders you will provide the expertise and enthusiasm to drive forward the process, from initial engagement to writing the orders.
With an appropriate degree (or equivalent qualification) in a built environment profession, you will be a corporate member of the RTPI or RICS, with significant post qualification experience. You will have a good knowledge of the planning system, excellent project management, communication skills and attention to detail.
