We are looking for a dynamic and customer focussed Compliance Inspection Surveyor to join our Repairs and Investment Team.

Reporting to the Compliance Manager you will play a lead role in the successful management of our Electrical upgrade works including test and inspection, ensuring compliance with contract conditions and current electrical regulations. You will also manage other projects such as fire risk assessment works.

With the ability to successfully work in partnership, you will ensure that our tenants’ objectives around high quality, communication, and customer care are met. You will ensure that programmes are delivered in line with agreed budgets, and that key performance indicators are met.

The role requires the candidates to demonstrate substantial experience and knowledge of the current electrical regulations and will hold an appropriate electrical qualification and will have experience of carrying out a qualifying supervisor role as set out in the person specification.  

With a population of over 171,000, Charnwood is one of the largest district councils in the country in terms of the number of residents. The borough sits centrally between the three cities of Nottingham, Derby and Leicester, extending from the town of Loughborough in the north to the edge of Leicester to the south. 

Charnwood is easily accessible from the M1 and the high speed rail link between Sheffield and London. The council own a housing stock of approximately 5,700 properties.

The post holder must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle to undertake site visits. The package includes an essential user car allowance.
