We are currently looking for a Business Support Officer to join the Business Unit for the Central Bedfordshire Safeguarding Children Board. Supporting the Strategic Safeguarding Partnership Manager and working in collaboration with our safeguarding partners you will have a key role in ensuring that the Board operates effectively and is well supported to deliver its agreed objectives and safeguard vulnerable children.
Within this role you will be responsible for managing the Safeguarding Board’s inbox and being the first point of contact for email and telephone enquiries.
The successful candidate will organise and co-ordinate meetings and workshops, co-ordinate and send out agendas, collate meeting papers, minute meetings and ensure invoices are paid on time.
As part of your role you will also be responsible for updating databases and the Safeguarding Children’s Board website.
You will have experience at working in a busy office environment and hold GCSE level qualifications in literacy and numeracy (or equivalent qualifications) grade C or above. Excellent interpersonal communications skills, both verbal and written are a must alongside strong time management and a task focused attitude. You will have experience at producing statistical data, reports, letters and forms and using Microsoft packages.
You will be flexible and self-reliant and be committed to the aims of the service and Central Bedfordshire’s best value strategies.
Must be able to travel for meetings.
