Rother District Council is an ambitios Council at the heart of 1066 Country in East Sussex. Based in Bexhill-on-Sea, the district also covers the historic towns of Battle and Rye as well as a large attractive rural area, predominantly falling within the High Weals AONB.

We are looking to appoint a suitable candidate to the role of Principal Planning Officer Team Leader. This is an exciting time, as the Council progresses a site allocations and topic policies plan through examination, as well as embarks on a major Local Plan Review, working closely with neighbouring Hastings. The post-holder will also have responsibility for managing and guiding Planning and Technical Officers at various levels in the Planning Policy Team.

Notwithstanding that the Council has generic planning posts, it is expected that the post-holder will be part of the Planning Policy team.
