We are looking for motivated, customer-focused team players with a genuine interest in housing, to help us deliver excellent housing services and take forward our exciting and challenging improvement plan.
You will be responsible for providing an effective and customer focused rent arrears recovery service with an emphasis on tenancy sustainment and income maximisation. You will utilise your excellent problem solving skills and liaison arrangements with our partners and other external agencies in order to assist our tenants to meet their obligation in relation to their rent, at the same time meeting Islington’s expected performance outcomes.
We have a vacancies within the Income Recovery Team
You will be required to collect all income due in line with targets, providing benefits advice, agreeing / negotiating appropriate repayment plans and undertaking legal action relating to rent arrears as necessary, including issue of NOSPS, preparation of Court papers, variation orders, eviction reports, execution of warrants and attending evictions.
You will need to have:
- Experience of working in a Social Housing environment and involvement within income recovery
- Experience of delivering services within a multi-cultural community.
- A detailed understanding of housing benefits sufficient to provide general advice to service users.
