An enthusiastic people person with excellent IT and organisational skills is required for this established community based, multi-agency, early intervention team.
The successful candidate will be an intellectually curious, quick learner who enjoys working with systems and data and has a tangible understanding of the power of data along with an interest in the application of public policy.
The role is principally based at our offices in the centre of Bromley although there is a requirement for travel to our six satellite sites across the borough.
The post holder will often be tasked with providing assistance to solve a range of technical problems across the service. It is essential that they have strong interpersonal and communication skills enabling them to deal with colleagues both via telephone and email as well as face-to-face; explaining technical issues in an accessible manner suitable for the particular audience.
Duties include system administration (including form design and helpdesk support), data sourcing and inputting, as well as implementing and monitoring quality assurance and control processes. As the role includes monitoring and managing a technical support queue, the post holder must be proactive in taking ownership of incidents and service requests as required.
The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring that multiple data sets are transformed into usable information enabling sound business decisions by service management, including strategic and operational programme delivery. Therefore, the successful candidate will have the skills and experience to cleanse, match, cross-check and QA large and complex data sets to strict deadlines and will be able to recognise and extract critical service indicators and be able to interpret and express those indicators in a business context.
Excellent knowledge and experience of SQL, Excel 2010, SharePoint 2007 and at least one current public sector management information system as well as an understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices is fundamental to this role as is a robust understanding of the various requirements for effective data management.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working in a pressurised but team-oriented, collaborative environment, be able to prioritize and execute tasks rapidly to allotted deadlines and have the flexibility to occasionally work outside normal office hours to meet service peaks or priority deadlines.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and/or be able to demonstrate appropriate workplace experience.
