Exciting opportunities have arisen in the Adult Social Care Service within Sefton Council. Sefton are looking for experienced Social Workers for the North Team based at Southport Town Hall. We are seeking applicants with two years or more experience in both hospital and community work. Significant experience of working with complex learning disabilities and EMI would be a distinct advantage.

 

As a qualified social worker you will contribute to the operational delivery of an effective Adult Social Care service as part of a team responsible for promoting the welfare of and continuously improving outcomes for individuals.

 

You will manage a defined case load delivering high quality assessments and support plans that address the needs of vulnerable people through the commissioning of individual packages of care, whilst managing the reputation of the Council.

    Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and / or relevant care / safeguarding legislation and will only be appointed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.Applicants must be professionally qualified Social Workers and registered with the HCPC.     Please note that we are presently unable to support newly qualified social workers through their ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment). Social Workers must have 2 years post qualification experience.
