We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Team Manager to join the Disabled Children’s Team. This post will give the post holder the opportunity to gain valuable management experience and to develop their skills in supervising staff and students whilst being supported by the Team Leader.
Experience of working within Children’s Social Care and undertaking statutory work is essential along with the relevant social work qualification as the team deals with Child Protection investigations and initiation of Care Proceedings. Experience of working with disabled children and their families is required including assessing and providing complex packages of care. The post holder will jointly work complex cases with less experienced colleagues and hold a small case load of their own.
The Deputy Team Manager participates in duty on a rota basis with the Team Leader and deputises for the Team Leader as and when required.
Are you someone with excellent organisational skills and do you have the ability to manage competing demands? Do you work well under pressure and can you remain calm in a time of crisis? Are you able to communicate well and build relationships with professionals from other agencies? If you think you have the skills and are up to the challenge, we would like to hear from you.
This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
