Tenancy Support Officer X2
Grade F: £25,497.50 - £29,700.50 per annum
37 hours per week, 2 year fixed term contract
We are seeking two effective and experienced Tenancy Support Officers to join the Housing Options team and contribute towards the delivery of a high quality housing service.
This is a challenging role and you will be required to have excellent communication and negotiation skills as you will be dealing with people often in emotional and stressful situations to help them achieve successful tenancy management and resolve their housing issues, including those placed in temporary accommodation.
The successful candidates will have experience of working in a housing or support related role, and experience in delivering housing related advice and guidance.
You will need to be self-motivated and proactive in helping to preventing homeless and identifying housing options and solutions to meet local housing needs. You will also need to demonstrate experience of working with partner agencies to deliver support to vulnerable clients.
Working as part of a busy team you will need to work well under pressure and on your own initiative as you will build and manage your own caseload to Cherwell’s service standards and be able to demonstrate positive outcomes.
To succeed in this role you will be a good problem solver who is able to work assertively but sensitively and also be a good team player.
