Croydon is undergoing a period of regeneration not seen since the 1960s. We are already well underway with some £5bn of investment that will be completed over the next few years. New offices, new retail, new homes in a range of mixed use schemes will accommodate our growing population. One of the major sites in the midst of this is the redevelopment of the Fairfield Halls which is due to open in September of this year. Both this and a growing cultural calendar for Croydon creates will help to establish the borough as a key cultural centre with a revitalised night time economy.
Our museum and exhibition spaces in the Croydon Clocktower will need to develop as well to enhance that cultural offer in the heart of Croydon and these posts will play a key, transformational role in delivering on this.
Croydon is a naturally ambitious council – so we’re looking for inspirational leaders who share our passion for museums, exhibitions and culture to meet the needs of our communities.
