An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Campuses Services team in the Asset Management section within OneSource, delivering a range of FM services across the corporate portfolio for the London Borough of Newham.
The section is responsible for ensuring our corporate buildings are maintained to a high standard and that our customers and staff use and access buildings that are fully operational.
oneSource provides shared back office support service for Havering, Newham and Bexley Councils across a range of transactional, operational and strategic services. The Directorate of Asset Management within oneSource includes a Facilities Management Team responsible for the corporate estate.
The Team is based within the London Borough of Newham. Newham is a unique and vibrant place to work. Building Services Officer
£20,667 - £22,425 pa
You will be expected to provide a range of essential services related to the operation and management of corporate buildings including the following:
• Reception services in corporate buildings
• Porterage and delivery services
• Meeting/training room set up and clearance
• General building administration duties
• Building opening and lockdown
• Minor building repairs and maintenance
The post holder must be flexible and work across council sites. Working 5 days a week covering Monday to Saturday. Flexible to work the occasional Sunday.
You will be educated to a good general standard.
You will be able to undertake basic repairs and maintenance.
You will be working in a busy environment with lots of lifting and carrying.
You will be enthusiastic to assist helping people both internal and external.
You will be confident working in a front-line position and have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
You will have good IT skills to help our customers.
As the public face of the Council, you will be required to present a positive personal image to our customers.
Finally you will have the ability to achieve excellent results working as part of the Newham Team.
