Location: Mile Oak Primary 

This role is a job share for two days a week, ideally Thursday and Friday and will commence in May 2019.

*Please note, as the INA role is for a child who has an EHCP, this aspect of the role will exist whilst the plan is in place and the pupil attends Mile Oak Primary School.

Mile Oak Primary School is a rapidly improving and very friendly school with 520 children on roll.  We are looking to recruit a dedicated and reliable member of staff to support a delightful KS1 child who has a physical disability. As part of this role, you will be required to carry out intimate care on a regular basis. Experience of supporting children with additional needs is essential for this position and you will work closely with the class teacher and Inclusion Manager to provide the very best education possible.

Desirable skills, abilities and experience –

Has an excellent understanding about the needs of children who have barriers to their learning

Ability to work closely with a strong supportive team, including parents and external agencies

Experience of delivering fine motor skills and physio therapy interventions

Resilient and reliable

Passionate about inclusion and helping children to enjoy and achieve

A commitment to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all children.

An understanding of child development and how children learn

Good numeracy/literacy/ICT skills

Ability to relate to children and adults.

Work flexibly, independently, and constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
