LEAVING CARE COACH
We require an enthusiastic Leaving Care Coach, who are passionate about the outcomes for children in Waltham Forest. The successful candidate will have some experience in working with care leavers. In return we offer professional 1:1 supervision, excellent induction and training as well career development and generous staff benefits. The leaving care coach primary role is to ensure that young people leaving care are transition and proactively supportive from 18 to 25 years old to live independently and function as independent citizens ensuring they are in good quality accommodation with access to appropriate services to further their education or training/ employment and any other additional supports required to live healthy and happy, and achieve their life goals and aspirations.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have experience in working with Care leavers as a personal advisor ( referred to in LBWF as Leaving Care Coaches).
The candidate will have a good understanding of care leavers legislation and our duties to support our care leavers as a Corporate Parent. Be motivated and willing to make a difference for Care Leavers within LBWF.
