This position provides an exciting opportunity for you to play a key role in assisting the Audit and Counter Fraud Team investigate allegations of fraud and highlight areas of potential risk to the organisation. This will principally cover areas such as Social Housing, Council Tax, Non Domestic Rates, Right to Buy, Planning, Procurement and Insurance.
With experience working within a Housing Benefit/Council Tax/Housing or Fraud environment you will be the single point of contact between DWP and Eastbourne and Lewes authorities in relation to Housing Benefit Fraud.
You will carry out data matching checks and analysis, acting upon any discrepancies found by undertaking initial intelligence gathering through interrogation of available systems, and dealing with members of the public via phone calls and face to face.
The successful candidate must be self-motivated, proactive and well organised with good communication skills. You will be handling cases across a number of systems and must be flexible with the ability to learn new skills quickly. Good computer and keyboard skills, including MS Office and Excel are essential.
