NCS Wirral Council Summer 2019 Staff recruitment

A vacancy has arisen to recruit 3 Lead Seasonal Workers and 36 Assistant Sessional Workers to deliver the National Citizens Service based within the Wirral Sports Development Unit.
You will need to have experience leading a group of young people and demonstrate the ability to plan, deliver and evaluate activities. Working to deadlines will be a key feature of this role.
The majority of the delivery of NCS takes place during June, July & August. There will be 'keep warm' activities and training prior to the actual programme. Social action will form a major element during phase three.
Successful Assistant candidates will work as part of a team to supervise a group of 15 young people and assistant staff to plan and deliver social action projects based at a local community venue. The programme ends with a celebration event where you will be required to assist in the planning and delivery.
Successful Lead candidates support six teams of assistant staff and 15 young people, one Lead worker will support the away residential, One Lead worker will support the Home residential and one Lead worker the Social action element of the programme.
Lead worker: Working pattern: 1 x 3 weeks full-time (away residential activity) 1 x 3 weeks full-time (home residential activity) and 2 x 3 weeks 30hrs Social Action.
Assistant worker: Working pattern: 2 weeks full-time (away residential activity) and 2 weeks part-time
