With colleagues and communities depending on your skills, you will find your greatness by monitoring strategic developments and ensuring developers comply with S.106 agreements and planning conditions to achieve high quality developments and delivery of local infrastructure.
Your new role
It’s a varied, challenging role where you will be working with complex S.106 agreements and planning approvals to ensure strategic developments are successfully delivered on the ground. You’ll manage a caseload of challenging large developments and to ensure high quality places are provided with the associated infrastructure required. With everyone from Councillors to communities looking to you to ensure compliance of planning requirements, it’s vital that you understand and uphold best practice.
- Monitoring of strategic developments to ensure compliance with S106 agreements;
- Monitoring of planning conditions and ensuring they are complied with for strategic developments
- Ensure compliance with appropriate planning legislation
- Liaison with customers to provide clear and transparent information regarding approved developments and act as a point of contact for any issues that may arise in connection with implementation
Your qualifications, skills and experience
You will have sound literacy, numeracy and IT skills with previous experience in a role where attention to detail and good record keeping are essential. You will ideally be already able to interpret plans, legal agreements and planning approvals (although not essential as training can be provided). You will be a good team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, great communication and interpersonal skills and a professional approach to your work.
