We are looking for experienced Social Workers who would like to join our innovative Learn to Live Team (L2L).
The Learn to Live team aims to safeguard and promote young people supporting them to live independent lives. You’ll manage complex cases and plan to promote young people through pathway plans. You’ll take responsibility for enabling contact arrangements and ensuring that health assessments and personal education plans are in place. Throughout, you’ll engage successfully with the children and make sure that their voices are heard and recorded consistently.
Special Requirements for this Post
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful applicants including a Disclosure check. You will have completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) and hold a recognised Social Work qualification and a current HCPC registration.
You will need at least two years' experience of working with looked after children as well as have an adaptable approach to ensure you are able to effectively build relationships with partners, colleagues and residents who access our services. In addition to this you will need to be motivated, flexible with high professional standards alongside sound knowledge and experience of current legislation and its application to practice in a social care setting.
