About the Role

We require a suitably qualified and experienced person to carry out private sector housing licensing and enforcement duties. The role primarily involves licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO), but could potentially also include licensing of residential caravan sites and other housing investigation and enforcement work.

About the Person

The successful candidate will have:

  • Good knowledge of the law around regulation of private sector housing
  • Experience of inspecting, licensing and enforcing standards in residential property, including houses in multiple occupation
  • Great communication skills
  • An investigative and analytical approach
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong IT skills and be able to produce clear reports and case records
