Your role in our journey

As the Digital Engagement and E-Services Officer in Customer Services, you will engage with and enable our customers to maximise the benefits of access to digital resources and services, acting as lead for e-safety. You will be responsible for the progression of digital library services, identifying new opportunities, and changing our digital culture. You will act as lead champion for the Digital Universal Offer and the delivery and promotion of digital library initiatives.  

You will work in close partnership with a range of public / private organisations, community and voluntary groups and those who work, live and study in Barnsley.

 

What you’ll need

This is a permanent opportunity, to join us, you’ll need a relevant level 4 qualification and you’ll need to evidence experience of working with digital resources and developing successful partnerships. We’re also looking for someone who has knowledge of the application of digital technologies to public libraries and service delivery improvements. You’ll have a strong commitment to deliver excellent customer service and it is your talent for communication and motivating staff, partners and members of the public that really sets you apart.
