Are you an experienced and skilled property lawyer looking for a new challenge? If so, we want to hear from you.
We are a highly regarded legal team in West London and are recruiting a property lawyer to join our busy property team and provide expert advice on a diverse range of property matters including acquisitions and disposals, leases and licences (including landlord and tenant), Right to Buy and support housing and town centre regeneration schemes including CPO work. As an experienced property lawyer, you will deliver expert legal support to client services. We will value your drafting abilities and transactional expertise as well as your commercial and solution-based pragmatism when working on projects and helping the Council to manage risk.
You will report to the property team's senior lawyer and have the opportunity to work alongside the team's head of legal and other lawyers in legal services to ensure the delivery of high quality legal services for the benefit of the Council.
You will be an experienced solicitor, barrister or FILEX specialising in property matters with proven knowledge of transactional work as well as property law generally. Ideally you will have compulsory purchase experience.
Experience of local authority governance and decision making would be an advantage, but this is not essential for the role. You will have excellent communication and IT skills and have the ability to work as a team player in a commercial and pragmatic way as we work with other Council officers to meet the high demand for excellent value for money public services.
We offer a range of employee benefits, including generous leave entitlement, flexible working and excellent pension provisions. We are based in modern offices close to the transport links of Ealing Broadway and the lively amenities of Ealing town centre.
This post is subject to Ealing's enhanced vetting process.
For an informal discussion about the role please contact the senior lawyer (property) Rany Kamalanathan at email@example.com tel: 020 8825 6350
Interviews will comprise a written test followed by an interview.
