£57,154 - £62,044 + £609 London Weighting Per Annum. Effective from 01/04/2019. This includes the 2% pay award.

This includes a new way of organising how support services are delivered with re-engineered, more efficient processes, together with a Centre of Excellence, OD Service, Business Partnering arrangements and integration with Organisational Development and Transformation.
We have a new exciting role that will assume the lead role within our HR Centre of Expertise as well as enable and deliver the workforce and OD Strategy with other senior managers. Reporting to and working closely with the Director of OD Transformation and HR, Departmental Management Team and Senior Leaders, you will bring evidence-based practice into the organisation to ensure the HR strategies and policies are developed, embedded and aligned with business requirements
About the role
Your key priority will be to lead, manage and continue to develop and embed the Centre of Expertise HR Enabling and Support Hubs. Supporting our new ways of working and cultural change programme. You will develop and implement innovative strategies, policies and processes which will deliver high quality solution focused HR services throughout the Council.
You will design HR solutions, advise on risk management, and coach / support senior management across the Council in handling complex change.
You'll be a self-motivated HR Professional with at least MCIPD and significant relevant experience. You will be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge and practice, have a proven track record of leading and managing HR teams, as well as delivering successful HR projects.
You'll have excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, effective planning and project management skills. You will be comfortable with ambiguity, pragmatic and solution oriented.
You will be solution focused and role model great personal and team leadership behaviours and take an active role in ensuring the HR Operating Model is embedded successfully
About the area
As an area, Bracknell Forest has much to offer. It is a modern town that is currently benefitting from a major programme of regeneration. These plans are revitalising the town centre bringing an abundance of new retail outlets, restaurants, cafes and leisure opportunities. Though much of its centre is modern, Bracknell has a strong historic background. Once part of the Windsor Great Forest, one fifth of the borough is woodlands, with another fifth protected for its high wildlife value including ten sites of specific scientific interest.
Located in the heart of the Thames Valley and close to Reading, Bracknell has excellent road and rail links to all areas of the UK, with the council office situated within two minutes walk of the station. There is also subsidised parking, making it extremely accessible.
