We are looking for a Senior Community Protection Warden to take the initial lead on the investigation and resolution of antisocial behaviour & environmental protection cases.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, whose area includes both urban and rural communities such as Ascot, Bray, Datchet, Eton, Sunninghill, Sunningdale and a number of smaller villages.
Your principal role will be to act as the first point of contact for residents, to resolve cases and complaints on the day where possible; escalating to specialist officers as required at the end of each working day.
You will need to be a proven problem solver, able to compile accurate reports, collate evidence and manage a caseload with relevant agencies and key stakeholders.
You will be assisted by the Community Warden and Environmental Protection teams, who will work closely with you and provide specialist knowledge to support the quick resolution of community complaints. In addition, the post will line manage a Community Warden Technical Support Officer post in support of the functions of the unit and those directed by the Community Safety Partnership.
You must be familiar with relevant law and guidance relating to environmental and antisocial behaviour issues and be able to work within these areas to problem solve. Detailed knowledge of the Environmental Protection Act and Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 is desirable.
The post will also be required to act as a lead for the collation and escalation of day-to-day issues in relation to the operation of our satellite office.
Candidates should be aware the role requires the successful candidate to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
