Halton Libraries is an innovative, successful service at the heart of the local community. We deliver key reading, health, learning, information, digital and culture offers, clubs and activities, access to digital resources, and a thriving events programme. We have seen an increase in our issues and visitor numbers over the past 12 months and are looking to further improve this through delivering a relevant, creative and resourceful service.
Becoming an Area Manager is an amazing opportunity to develop a leadership role within a fast paced, customer facing environment.
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and energetic person to this role. You will have a passion for libraries, experience of delivering excellent customer service, and will hold a CILIP accredited qualification. With effective communication skills, management experience and an aspiration to be a public library leader you will enjoy working as part of a collaborative team and will have a positive outlook to service development and change.
This role will be based at Widnes and Ditton Libraries with some travel to other locations across the Borough and Region as required.
This post is a fixed term maternity cover 1st July 2019 – 30th June 2020.
