If you have a passion for providing quality support for vulnerable people you will be able to find your greatness working for Central Bedfordshire Council in the Care and Support Services. In the Older People’s services we provide person centred quality care. The promotion of independence, choice and control is vital. You could make people’s lives better.
At our services every day is different - every person has a story as well as a unique need. You’ll join our friendly team in this unique setting. Your main tasks will be to support individuals in all areas of their daily life, including personal care, social activities and mealtimes. You will promote their independence and ensure they are able to maximise their quality of life. You will support people with their health needs and wellbeing – making sure more senior staff are made aware of any changes you notice. You will ensure that customers / Residents have as much choice and control in their lives as possible.
You don’t need any formal qualifications to apply for this role. Your enthusiasm and drive to improve the lives of vulnerable people is the key requirement. However, you will have a good understanding of the needs of vulnerable older people living with difficulties. This includes - physical disability / frailty and or Dementia. You will also be prepared to work towards a level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care. You will become part of a wider team of people, all working towards the same goal – to provide an excellent service to the people in our care.
