Do you have a passion for neighbourhood focussed environmental health in a truly holistic and partnership based service?  Do you want to be part of a significant change, and help deliver the next steps on our improvement journey?  Then we would be delighted to hear from you.

We are looking for a highly motivated, committed and EHRB registered Environmental Health Practitioner, who has excellent investigatory skills to join our neighbourhood enforcement team within the Regulation and Enforcement Service.  The successful candidate will be the lead officer for an area of Rotherham, responsible for delivering pollution control, commercial nuisance enforcement, licensing and planning consultations and delivering a range of other neighbourhood enforcement and anti-social behaviour functions, often in close partnership with Police colleagues.  You will also be responsible for day to day supervision of enforcement officers.  Through training and development we will ensure you have the skills and knowledge to excel in the role and be a lead officer for a particular topic.

To meet the requirements of this exciting role, you must have a working knowledge of neighbourhood environmental health and ASB enforcement.  You need not be an expert in this field and we are keen for applications from people looking for a career change or who are newly qualified.   A full training and a development programme to support you comes with the role.  You should be skilled in developing and sustaining effective working relationships. You will maintain your own knowledge and enable us to develop further by having a key role in policy and practice development.

For an informal discussion, please contact Matt Finn, Community Protection Manager on Tel: 01709 823134.

Interviews week commencing 1st April 2019.
