The HR Consultancy Service offers high quality HR advice and support to all Directorates of the Council as well as to schools who purchase the Council’s HR Consultancy Services. We are looking to recruit 1 x permanent and 1 x temporary (18 months) HR Consultants.
Key aspects of this challenging role include:
- Providing high level advice to complex casework linked to all aspects of the employee life cycle (recruitment, capability, disciplinary, grievance, Dignity at Work, redundancy and retirement)
- Supporting organisational change across the Council and with partner organisations
- Providing high level advice on the Council’s policy framework and all forms of employee absence
- Contribute to the development and review of HR policy
You will be joining an experienced team of HR Consultants who provide excellent levels of service across the range of HR topics. Previous experience in a similar HR role is essential as you will need to hit the ground running in this busy, fast moving environment. You will have excellent communication skills, be confident in managing a caseload of varied work and able to work on your own initiative and contribute to our high performing team. Experience of work within a unionised environment would be an advantage.
