We are seeking a newly qualified Social Worker to join our Locality team on an Assessed and Supported Year of Employment (ASYE). The ideal candidate will be efficient, competent and have proven ability to meet deadlines, with experience of working with older adults, people with learning disabilities and/or people with physical disabilities.
You will have access to our excellent ASYE programme offering 12 months protected case load, an ASYE module offered by Bucks New University and support from an independent practice assessor. On successful completion of the programme you would be offered a role as a Social Worker within Reading Borough Council.
About the role
You will work alongside occupational therapists, care coordinators and health colleagues in a multidisciplinary team, working with older people, adults with disabilities, older people’s mental health, including long term conditions, sensory needs and learning disabilities.
You will receive regular supervision and will have incredibly supportive colleagues and management team.
We offer continuous training and development including access to funded BIA training and practice educator training on completion of ASYE.
