Our council is going through an exciting time of change. We have developed a new corporate business plan and a whole new approach to customer service where our priority is to put the customer first and offer a consistent ‘one team’ approach in everything we do.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for leading a small team of maintenance surveyors. Assisting in the developing innovations in the delivery of responsive repairs and voids to the council’s c10, 000 stock. Working closely with our long-term partnering contractors – Mears - to maximise customer satisfaction and achieve value for money.
You will be a strong leader with a sound technical background and an understanding of Partnering – preferably gained in a similar role. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of performance management to ensure that quality and value for money is achieved at all times.
You will need excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be comfortable in conversing with a range of stakeholders.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
