About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the democratic process. This position is seeking applications from candidates with an understanding and experience of democratic and decision making processes or with similar demonstrable experience. Joining our Democratic Services Team, you will assist with the administration of the Council’s decision making and governance arrangements.
Supporting elected Members, senior Managers, formal Committees and informal groups, you will enjoy a wide range of responsibilities – coordinating the planning and administration of meetings, producing agenda and minutes, and providing advice. In addition to gaining valuable skills, experience and exposure to decision making at the highest level, you will benefit from a competitive salary.
About the Person
The ideal candidate will be educated to at least A Level standard, preferably degree level or equivalent with governance or similar experience. Self-motivated, organised and reliable, you are a team player with good communication skills and an ability to manage a varied workload.
