We are currently looking for a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and committed person that would carry out works relating to grounds maintenance within the District. This is an exciting position within the council's award winning section. You will need to be self-motivated, self-disciplined and have experience in providing effective and efficient service.
The successful candidate for the Tractor Driver / Gardener role will be required to operate tractors and appropriate implements to carry out grounds maintenance tasks around the district helping to achieve our key objectives. You will be required to ensure vehicles, plants and equipment are maintained correctly and carry out all gardening functions in order to ensure the council’s standards are achieved and maintained at all times. The functions include site preparation and landscaping, maintenance to grassed areas, hedges, flower beds, shrub and rose beds.
We require an individual with sound knowledge and experience in horticulture and all elements of grounds maintenance machinery operation. Candidates should be competent in carrying out maintenance machinery checks and hold of a full UK driving licence preferably with B+E entitlement. Experience of operating tractors and implements is desirable.
