The Council views Health & Safety as a key priority and are therefore investing in a new post to further drive forward its commitment to Health and Safety. This is an exciting development opportunity perfect for someone who is interested in establishing a career within Health & Safety. The successful candidate will not only have the opportunity to study towards formal qualifications, but gain excellent on the job experience working across Council Services.

The successful post holder will assist the Environmental Services Manager to fulfil duties such as risk assessments, monitoring of accident statistics, development of training needs and delivery of training to frontline and other staff through toolbox talks and other media channels.

Other duties will include assisting in the updating of the Council’s Emergency Plan and the maintenance of records such as training, DSE assessments, driver licences, vehicles and fire evacuation tests.

The post holder will be a member of the Council’s Risk Management Working Group and the Joint Pendle and Liberata Health and Safety team.
