Our focus at present is to recruit tutors who can teach the following:-
ICT & Employability Sessional Tutor
Starting salary: £21.99 per hour + fringe
Various hours, days and times
Microsoft Office Suite (2016) / Other advanced ICT skills such as Coding, Design and Video Editing
The ICT & Employability curriculum is an integral part of Thurrock Adult Community College and is expected to see growth since the recent Government consultation on basic digital skills entitlement. The curriculum offers a broad range of learning opportunities to meet both local needs and government priorities. Overall aims of the curriculum are to support local residents into employment, to increase skills required to further their career or to assist in starting new local enterprises. Courses include the Microsoft Office Suite, Digital Marketing and specific business skills.
You will join a supportive team who work closely together across multiple curriculum areas to develop the employability skills of local residents.
Sessions are typically between 2-3 hours, mornings, afternoons or evenings in school term time although occasional Saturday morning or holiday courses may also be required. The amount of work you are offered to deliver will depend on the number and type of courses scheduled.
Qualifications - Tutors should have a recognised teaching qualification (or a commitment to undertake a level 3 teaching qualification within the first year of employment). Relevant ICT qualifications at or above Level 3 is required.
