We are committed to placing the community right at the heart of everything we do in order to help transform our neighbourhoods. We’ve developed an exciting new Thriving Neighbourhoods model and need you to help make it happen. We are looking to fill a number of vacancies within the Neighbourhoods Team, and this could be your opportunity to transform the way we work with councillors, residents, partners and businesses

You’ll be helping us build outstanding services for the people, businesses and communities across Rotherham. You will have an understanding about neighbourhood working as well as community development and asset-based approaches. You’ll be working closely with different Council services, other public sector service providers and the Voluntary Community Sector so will need to display an ability to build relationships and forge strong partnerships.

Neighbourhood Co-ordinators work at ward based level and support Elected Members with ward based planning that enables them to fulfil their community leadership role.  You will need experience in community planning and asset based community development and you will excel at bringing a range of partners together to enable and facilitate innovative solutions to priorities identified within the ward plan.

If you are a highly motivated self-starter who has experience of working with elected members, community members and groups to co-ordinate and co-produce projects and activity, we would like to hear from you.

This is an exciting time to join Rotherham. You can look forward to all the satisfaction of building on the changes we’ve already made, reinforcing our momentum and driving further progress. It’s a receptive, enthusiastic, collaborative environment in which to make your mark.

For an informal discussion, please contact Andrea Peers (Senior Neighbourhood Co-ordinator) on 07717450973.

Please state clearly on your application form which post(s) you are interested in (part-time or the full-time positions).
