If you're passionate about supporting Hillingdon's families to achieve their full potential, and have the skills required to support children, young people, and parents to develop new abilities and skills, then this an ideal job opportunity for you!
The London Borough of Hillingdon has recently reshaped its Early Intervention and Prevention Services for families, and has established a new range of targeted programmes for children, adolescents, young adults, and parents who need additional support to overcome challenges in their lives and progress towards a better future.
We support family members to develop their skills, knowledge, and confidence, so that they can successfully manage life's naturally-occurring ups and downs. We do this through the delivery of informal group-based learning activities that address key family issues, and develop core family and life-management skills. Through our varied range of family-focused services - including structured learning programmes for vulnerable boys and young men, peer-led education programmes, sexual health education programmes, substance misuse education programmes, and transition support programmes for young people - we support family members to develop the competencies and confidence required to reach their fullest potential.
As a Programme Delivery Worker, you'll work within a team of practitioners delivering targeted services across Hillingdon, and have the opportunity to deliver an exciting and innovative programme offer. You will receive a competitive salary, opportunities to progress, and a wide range of training that you can use to inspire Hillingdon's families to progress, prosper, and enjoy!
About the person
We're looking for dynamic and inspiring people, willing to commit themselves to the delivery of our programmes across Hillingdon. If you have the ability to work with children and young people, and you're a focused team player, you'll find this an exceptionally rewarding way to gain valuable skills and experience.
