ELECTRICIAN

Salary: £23,505 - £25,981 per annum (+ 2% pay award from 1/4/19)

Operational Estate. We are recruiting for a Time Served Electrician to carry out:

Electrical installation and repair & maintenance works to the Public Building Stock.

Testing of electrical installations to Public Building Stock.

Rewires and minor electrical adaptations to Public Building Stock.

A wide range of electrical and other works on refurbishment, maintenance and repair contracts.

The successful applicant must hold Electrical qualifications City & Guilds 2381 and 2391 (or equivalent), along with BS7671 latest edition wiring regulations to be NICEIC registered, as the role requires applicants to work safely on live equipment whilst carrying out inspection and test duties.

A sound knowledge of electrical installation, repairs and maintenance, along with the ability and skill to undertake a wide range of multi-skilled tasks other than Electrical to a high standard are essential requirements of this post.

Applicants must have a full, driving licence and be willing to work on Preston City Council’s Out of Hours Service, for which extra payments are made. Overtime working may also be available, as dictated by workload, which would be payable at an enhanced rate.

Applicants should also be highly motivated, customer focused, flexible to work as part of a small team and possess the drive and commitment to deliver high quality services.

This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday).
