Are you a commercially orientated procurement professional, keen to develop your skills in a vibrant and innovative Digital Council of the Year? We are in the process of setting up a Central Buying Team to manage low value spend (<100k) worth c£100million per annum, across the Council. The Senior Sourcing Officer, managing a small team, will have the opportunity to develop, shape and improve how low value spend is managed Council wide. This position will be responsible for allocating and overseeing resources and processes (including P2P process) to ensure delivery of all commissioning, procurement and contract management projects within low value contract spend plans.

 

We are looking for a candidate with good knowledge of sourcing and contracting, preferably in relation to low value spend. They should also have knowledge and experience of P2P systems. The candidate must also have excellent commercial, communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.

 

This is an exciting time to join the commissioning and procurement division as the team is involved with delivering a number of organisation-wide change programmes. This role you will be key to delivering trailblazing work, driving a fundamental shift towards a more strategic and commercial approach to designing and delivering services. You will support the Council’s priority projects through effective management of low value spend, working with key stakeholders to support the implementation of technology that improves compliance and drives savings.
