Young Persons Adviser - 16+ Leaving Care Team, Full-time, 2 posts

£28,590 - £30,358 per annum

 

The 16+ Leaving Care Team provides borough wide services to Young people aged 16 to 25 who are or have been Looked After by the London Borough of Bromley and is also responsible for supporting Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Young People. 

 

As a Young Persons Adviser you will manage a caseload providing a support and advisory service to young people. You will have a lead role in the formulation, production and delivery of individual Pathway Plans. You will be experienced in working with young people, and have a range of skills; you will have good communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work together with other agencies to support young people. 

 

Your aim is to work positively with a challenging and demanding group of young people, many of who will have had difficulties in establishing positive relationships with adults. 

You will be joining a 16+ Leaving Care Team in an authority recently inspected as ‘good’. The team is multi disciplinary and is made up of a range of individuals with diverse skills and backgrounds. You will also be expected to participate in Group work activities and a Duty system, which may include managing crisis situations. You must be prepared to be innovative and willing to try new effective approaches as the service develops.
